A formerly dicey task
Is crisp and precise

Upshift and hammer!
Open up a gap on the
Wheel-sucking moron

A bang and a hiss
Reduces the breakaway
to "Where's the team car?"

As the peloton
gains speed the breakaway tries
to stay off the front

The worn out rider
Straining to maintain contact
The pack vanishes

The pack blazes past
A many headed monster
A blur of spandex
