Churches

Local churches and synagogues provide support to Gainesville Community Ministry in many ways. Some of these ways are

Sending volunteers
Providing board members in relation to the size of the congregation
Making regular financial contributions--in fact many churches find that GCM services lessen the strain in providing emergency assistance
Participating in Project 5000
Holding food drives (often at Lent or other appropriate Holy Days)
Conducting winter blanket drives
Conducting drives for new socks and underwear
