The Arts of John P Korb

Literative Works
o The Confessions of Mr. Sherlock Holmes - a lighter if somewhat irreverent work of deductive fiction. 1997 ©
o Eighty-eight Billion Potatoes Rolling Down the Stairs - a work on audiotape utilizing the Dutch phrase, "achtentachtig aardappelen rollen van de trap" (88 potatoes are rolling downstairs) in an exponentially increasing sequence of overloops. Special thanks to Bear Capron for his playful contributions. 1987 ©
o MIRV-Carambole - a rather short, minimalistic dance /performance piece inspired by observing high-paid computer programmers playing "Hacky Sac" (or "foot bag") in the parking lot on their lunch breaks. Movements and musical score for slit drum derived from writing a simple computer program. Costuming includes G.I. issue army boots and frockless dirndl. As yet unproduced. 1986 ©
o Machine - also fairly minimalistic, a tragi-comic stageplay in one act. Presenting a provocative view of human non-relatedness (one of the characters is a video screen) this 'sentimental' work has the length and personality of one coffee percolator brew-cycle. Buh-blip! As yet unproduced. 1985 ©
