  1. La Chua Trail - 3 miles round trip - To Alachua Sink, Alachua Lake and the center of the prairie marsh. Abundant wildlife including Alligators. Elevated platform gives a panoramic view of the prairie basin. North rim.
  2. Bolen Bluff Trail - 2.8 miles round trip - shared with cyclists-Shady hammock loop trail with a spur to an elevated platform that gives a scenic view of the prairie. Off Hwy 441.
  3. Wacahoota Trail - 0.3 miles loop trail - Shady hammock trail with 40 foot high tower. Trail begins and ends at Visitor Center. Main park entrance.
  4. Cones Dike Trail - 8.4 miles round trip - shared with cyclists-Sunny, long trail through the heart of the preserves wet prairie and prairie creek flow marsh. Main park entrance.
  5. Jacksons Gap Trail - 1.2 miles - shared with cyclists and equestrians-Connects Cones Dike and Chacala Trails. Main park entrance.
  6. Chacala Trail - 6.5 miles - shared with cyclists and equestrians-Extensive pineland trail system with a fine view of Chacala Pond. Trail can be seasonally wet. Main park entrance.
  7. Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail - 16 miles one way - shared with many other user groups-State recreational trail. Two lanes, one paved the other a natural surface. Connects Gainesville with Hawthorne by way of abandonded rail bed. Overlooks of Sweetwater basin and Alachua Lake. Multiple trailheads. See map.
