Anti-war march in D.C. September 24
September 2005

Gainesvillians have already bought enough tickets to fill one charter bus, and are on their way to filling a second, for the long-awaited anti-war march in Washington, D.C., the weekend of September 24th. Including marches, rallies, civil disobedience and pressure on Congress, the weekend has been organized by two of the largest anti-war groups in the country, United for Peace and Justice (www.unitedforpeace.org) and International ANSWER (internationalanswer.org)

According to Gainesville organizer Bill Gilbert, tickets are still available, call him at 336-4510 or David Henderson at 375-1927 or email gilberts28 at juno dot com. They are also taking donations to "adopt-an-activist" who couldn't otherwise afford a ticket, which costs $110.
