NOW & unions endorse Tom Bussing for mayor
March 2001

The Central Labor Council and the area's National Organization for Women chapters agree that Tom Bussing is the best choice for mayor in the Gainesville city election upcoming March 20. Bussing is a long time advocate for environmental rights and was very active in the fight against the Newberry Cement Plant. He is running on a platform of protexting neighborhoods from intrusive or incompatible development, and to accountability to the citizens.

Bussing supports a living wage ordinance for the City, and is a former officer in Graduate Assistants United. To help with the campaign, call 375-8572 or email tombussing_for_mayor@juno.com
