IMF/World Bank protests planned April 16 in DC

Continuing the battle of Seattle, organizers are arranging for protests of the meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank on April 16 in Washington, DC. There will be a "travelling road show" training session for April DC protests coming to the Civic Media Center, Sunday, March 19, 3-9 p.m. The IMF/World Bank Interest Group meets at the Civic Media Center on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. More info: 379-9528.

There will be a Teach-In on Globalization April 8 at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg with Kensington Welfare Rights Union activist Cheri Honkala and Anuradha Mittal of Food First, and Gary Asbed of the Coalition of Immokalle Workers.
