Her obituary from the May 16, 1968 Republican (Danville, Indiana):
Funeral services for Flavia Alberta Robertson, mother of Mrs. Fred Knauer of Clayton, were Saturday afternoon from the Clayton Chapel of the Weaver Funeral Home. Graveside services were in the Gilgal Cemetery, Heltonville. She died May 8 in Winona Memorial Clinic, Indianapolis, following an extended illness. A native of Lawrence County, she was born May 18, 1893. She was the widow of the late Karl Milton Robertson, who preceded her many years ago. She was a member of the Northwood Christian Church in Indianapolis. Surviving with the daughter are two grandchildren, James T. Knauer, Bloomington, and Robert W. Knauer, Clayton, and a brother, Robert Helton, Mount Carmel, Illinois.
According to Indiana Marriage Records, she married Karl Robertson on April 1, 1911, possibly in Monroe County. They had their first child (maybe only) on June 27, 1912 and named her Julia.
According to the 1900 census, she was the daughter of Alfred and Julia A. Helton. When the census was taken, they were living in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana. Her siblings were Robert, born December 1879, Nora, born May 1885 and Lucy born May 1900.
