Jezebel was my first female cat, and she's very bonded to me. I
got her in Gainesville, too, when I worked at a cat clinic. She was a feral
kitten that someone trapped and brought in, and she was very sick. When
she was well, I took her home for a weekend to socialize her a bit so she'd
be more adoptable. I don't know if you know much about feral cats, but
they are pretty much wild for life unless you work with them early on.
She was pretty old (4 months) when I got her, and very skittish, so when
Skippy and Max adopted her as their own, Dave said she could stay. She's
tamed down a lot, but is still wary of new people. With me, though, she's
a purring, snuggling fool, and, at 5 years old, one of the most active
adult female cats I've ever seen.
