| Delvin (Dea or Dee) Leroy Gardenour was born February 28, 1893 in Wells County, Indiana, the third child of William and Anna Gardenour. Older siblings were Vera Ethel and Curtis Clyde, and younger siblings were Roy Cleopus, Lloyd (died young), Donald Otis, Letha Martha, Dorothy (died young), and Orval Dean. In September 1910, William, Anna, and most of their children moved to Newaygo County, Michigan, and lived on a farm at Sitka. Dee married Eula C. Church on November 6, 1919 in Holton, Muskegon County, Michigan. Their four children were Robert Lyle (Bob), Eugene William (Gene), James Earl, and Max Norman (Mickey). Dee Gardenour died on December 30, 1965 in Fremont, Newaygo County, Michigan. |
