George after surgery George post-op closeup George is back in foster care.  His surgery was completed 2/16/99!

The surgery was successful in both of his eyes.  At this time he has sight in both eyes.  In fact his vision is much improved over what he had before his surgery.  George's internal stitches have dissolved.  His incisions have healed.  He no longer has to wear an Elizabethan collar!

George has completed his first obedience class!  He graduated at the top of his class!  Considering that he had his surgery in the middle of the "semester" and missed five of the eight classes that is truly remarkable.  Of course his foster mom worked with him the entire time he was home recovering from his surgery.

George attended the March of Dimes rally March 27, 1999.  He politely hung out in an ex-pen with his foster siblings including his bunny brother.  He was well mannered even when he was passed from stranger to stranger.  He behaved himself quite well with the literally hundreds of children who stopped by to pet him and his siblings.

George went to the University of Florida Vet School open house.  He sat on the floor by the Alachua County Humane Society booth ( picture with George at the bottom on the floor).  He not quite as mannerly as he had been at the March of Dimes Walkathon, but he was not totally inappropriate.
