• What is being done to draw members together in a spirit of fellowship?
• Does the meeting keep in contact, either by visits or personal letters, with all its members?
• Are Friends in need assisted as their circumstances require?
• Do you counsel with those whose conduct or manner of living gives ground for concern?

CALENDAR NOTES

• Summer Fun with Ellie and Larry Clayton at their home in Ocala. We will swim, share potluck, and have a songfest. All welcome. Directions are on the back table at the meetinghouse.
• Bible Seminar: Reread Paul's letter to the Galatians.
• Join us for a special evening of sharing food, fellowship and warm hospitality in the Buskirk's home. Marilyn Muller will lead a discussion on Part lll, "Living Peace" from the booklet Faithful Deeds.
• Come help us raise a joyful noise unto the Lord. Singing in the Meetinghouse.
• CELEBRATE COMMUNITY: Beach Day at the Windfordner beach cottage on Flagler Beach. Overnight if desired. Share food. Information and maps at the Meetinghouse. More info next month.

MEETING NEWS

• Congratulations! Jeannie Buskirk welcomed a new grandson, Micah David Carter, into the world on may 6, 2003, in Orange Park, Florida. Micah weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. and was 22 inches long. His happy parents are Jeannie's daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Kevin Carter.

• Please continue to hold Judy Shea, Morrie Trimmer and Reuben Keppel in the LIGHT as they meet health challenges.

• A Labor of Love: Thank You, Walter Morris, Bud Brennan, and Tak Hayakawa for doing a wonderful job of erecting our garden shed on the new property.

• We already miss you, Mona Morris, maker of Stone Soup, landscape designer, nemesis of kitchen moths, and hostess with the mostest! Thank you for the summer flower gardens.

• Minute: Gainesville Monthly Meeting will work with the Gainesville city-wide Up the Creek project by adopting a stretch of Royal Park Creek on and near our property.

• Kudos to the Building Committee for their tender, loving care of our land and their patient, loving shepherding of our building plans.

• The Library Committee is conducting a round up of its books in preparation for reorganization. Please check your shelves and return (or at least check out!) any of our books which you find there.

Well...better late than never - we have this years Un-Xmas Family project!! For many years the Meeting has "adopted" a family at Christmas time, but a few years ago it was decided that families get a lot of help at Christmas, but not the rest of the year...so, we started the "Un-Xmas" family project! Normally we have this project in conjunction with The Chain of Prayer in March/April, but we are running a little behind schedule.

We have 2 needy families with very young children who need help. Below is some information about the families and what they need. These families are participating in The Nurturing Program (UF-The Child Abuse Prevention Project) and are learning better ways of parenting and protecting their children. All donations will be delivered by the Nurturing Program Parent Educator that goes into the home. Any donations of money will be handled by that staff person and will reach its intended destination. Checks should be made out to the Meeting. Please contact Annie McPherson if you have any questions.

• Daycare: The mom's daycare benefits were cut and she needs money to pay for daycare. She is currently using Kids World because they provide transportation.
