the gall of that organ.
The past few days have been shaky. The right side of my stomach feels like i was punched (i'm guessing my gallbladder is bruised from the spasams) and it usually feels like i'm on the verge of a flareup again (read above for explanation of that excruciating pain). I got a prescription for lortab, just in case it starts going that direction again.
I've already made the appointment to see the surgeon Monday morning. And hopefully have this little bastard of an organ removed by next week. Until then, I'm supposed to avoid foods that could cause a flareup. This absurd list includes: eggs, pork, onions, cabbage, cauliflower, legumes (beans of any type), fowl (you know, chicken and turkey), milk, chocolate, icecream, coffee, black tea, alcohol, soft drinks, grapefruit, oranges, corn, nuts, white flour and artificial sweeteners. So I'll be surviving on an amazing diet of grass and dirt for the next week or so.
I appreciate everyone's calls, comments and emails. Even the horror stories where relatives die on the table when they went through the surgery... perspective is good i guess.
