And... Action!

The Short Version: Monday night show, I went. Saw bands: Might as well, Blind Society (jersey boys), Suzie Nine Iron, Today Doesn't Count. Everyone rocked.

The Long Version: Last wednesday jon, sterling and i were chatting at the sham-cock over a few beers. The conversation shifted to "the best bands in gainesville". On jon's list was Might As Well. To be honest, i have never seen them live, and only heard a couple of their songs. Needless to say i was excited to finally get to see them actually on stage. I hate to say it but... i didn't get it. Granted, they were good. But one of the best "all time"? nah. I do want to point out that they gave away free CDs at the show and I've been listening to it all-day today. I like the CD. Maybe their live sound doesn't translate in my head properly. (wouldn't be the first time).

Blind society: Suicidal tendencies + Sick Boy from Trainspotting.

Suzie 9 Iron rocked as usual. And i've been informed that they're #6 on the battle of the bands. Granted I've been voting for OPC for the past month. But i may throw a couple their way (just cause they're so close to actually winning something).

Today Doesn't Count. boo-ya. and dats all i gots to say about that.

I was talking to kristan (i _think_ that's how she spells it) and i found out that she played a lot of Diablo II and now is enjoying WarCraft III. It's kinda cool to talk to chicks (err... is that sexist? whatever.) about video games. I mean... my wife "listens" to me talk about my level 68 Bow-Azon, and the fact that i'm 53 and 40 in random matches on battle.net in WarCraft III ... but she has to. She's obligated by law to at least nod her head.
