Judge Lott regularly teaches courses to other judges across the state and is a regular speaker at schools, clubs and organizations such as the Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. My primary interest in the Circuit Judgeship is in being able to use my background and experience to better serve this area in Juvenile and Family Court and in effective Criminal Sentencing. I am particularly interested in the opportunity to be assigned to Baker, Bradford, Union, Gilchrist and Levy Counties in addition to Alachua County. I enjoyed working in all six counties as an Assistant Public Defender and, coming from Taylor County, it feels like coming home again. This new judgeship will give us the judicial resources to give all six counties the judicial attention they need and deserve. I pledge to the voters my continued hard work and my full attention to matters brought before me on the bench.
