General GIS Stuff
Bibliography of GIS. A good place to start researching what has been written on GIS topics and who wrote it. While the bibliography is neither inclusive of everything, nor exhaustive, Duane Marble's site at Ohio State University is a good first step. Go Buckeyes! {of course I am a biased alumnus.}
Spatial Statistics for Free!!! Looking for a cheap Spatial Statistics / GeoStats book. Isobel Clark wrote Practical Geostatistics in 1979 (Elsevier Applied Science) and has put it now in a digital format available for free on the web. The whole book has been scanned and each page is in a .bmp format. You can download the zip file at http://www.stokos.demon.co.uk/practica.htm Remember, a lot of geostatistics have been developed in the past twenty years.
Peter H. Dana, Department of Geography, University of Texas at Austin's overview on global positioning systems. His site was selected as the "Best GPS Site," one of GIS World's "Best of the Net" sites for 1996!

Land Economics / Real
Estate / GIS Technology
Counselors of Real Estate have posted as a www page an alphabetical list of articles that have appeared in their Real Estate Issues since 1976. Their journal articles are also listed by general topic including education and research issues. Both the "education" and "research" topics include references to articles on GIS and real estate (co-authored by Grant Thrall, incidentally). I would like to see abstracts added to their www posting; with that exception all journals should follow the example of the Counselors of Real Estate's Real Estate Issues www site.
