Should the county enter into mediation with the group of developers challenging the comp plan even though the plan has been approved by DCA?
- County planning staff has worked for over 4 years to write the plan.
- DCA has found the plan to be in total compliance with state requirements.
- The plan provides for orderly growth instead of sprawl.
- Most new growth will be connected to city services, within an Urban Services Line (USL) and, therefore, will reduce the level of pollution.
- Even though they have been led to believe otherwise, farmers will not be affected, and they *will* be able to leave the land to their children.
