Should the county continue to spend public tax money to put a 4-lane road between Butler Plaza and Oaks Mall?
- The county will have to make large payments to businesses dislocated by the road.
- UF President Charles Young has promised UF will donate land to the project over the objections of several UF departments that use the natural areas for teaching and ressearch projects.
- A 2-lane road had been planned, but was changed to 4-land at the request of Butler Enterprises.
- Mr. Clark Butler must have a 4-lane road so that he can expand Butler Plaza West.

There are actually 2 road projects:
1) A north-south road that will connect Butler Plaza and Oaks Mall.
2) An east-west road that will connect to 34th Street.
It is not clear what part the county will finance. The cost to the county could be $11 million.
