Should the commission adopt the mediation settlement of the 2002 Comprehensive Plan?
- The 2002 Comp Plan was approved by DCA in the summer of 2002.
- Challengers had the right to go to court to prove it violates state laws, but the burden of proof would be on the challengers.
- The commission ordered mediation and settlement even though the county would have had a strong case in court.
- Mediation meetings were conducted in private, without public participation.
