Should the county appeal a court decision that denies the county the right to do onsite monitoring of FRI emissions?

• The county commission has a duty to protect the health and welfare of the citizens of Alacua County.
• Even tho FRI is within Newberry city limits, air and water pollution affect the residents of the entire area.
• When the director of the county DEP, Chris Bird, attempted to set up monitoring equipment consistent with an agreement, he and his staff were denied access by FRI.
• Since then, the county DEP has found higher than expected levels of some toxic substances at monitoring sites outside the FRI property
