ELLEN BECK:
PRODUCING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Ellen Beck, Producing Executive Director, is responsible for the overall
professional direction and continuing viability of Florida Shakespeare
Theatre. Beck is currently overseeing the day-to-day aspects of the
construction of the courtyard theatre as well. A graduate of Syracuse University, Beck received a
Bachelor of Science degree in the Visual and
Performing Arts. Through an exchange program with Syracuse, she was a
student in London with Sir Michael McGowan of the Old Vic and LAMBDA.
Additional studies in New York City included the HB Studio and American
Theater of Actors. Beck has worked in the theatre in New York City,
Washington, DC and Miami as a producer, director and actress, and in the
areas of educational programming, development and public relations. She
has also been an independent producer of music videos for CBS Records,
production manager for Film and Fashion Productions in NYC, and a producer
for Miami Theater Productions.
