Anastasia Beach, Florida (1986)

A broad, 4-mile long beach with picturesque sand dunes alongside. Much of the beach sand is a very pretty pink color. Also alongside is a lagoon bordered by tidal marshes. There is a great diversity and large number of birds. The 1,035 acres of coastal barrier island contains coastal scrub and coastal hammock. The park is 1,500 acres. There is camping on the coast, which we use while there. The park is off SR A1A.
