This is the Web site for the Census Bureau. It is a good source for statistics.

This page, maintained by the Library Congress, is about US legislative information.

This is of searchable legislative government databases maintained by the US Government
Printing Office. Some of the links include the Federal Register, Congressional
Record and Surpreme Court decisions (1937-1975).

This is a list of newspaper archives on the Web, arranged by state. It is maintained
by volunteers from the News Division of the Special Libraries Assocation.

This is a directory of online news organizations, maintained by E&P. Some of the
searches available include by media type (newspapers, magazines, radio stations, etc.), by
city or state, and by publication frequency.

This site is a collection of Web sites arranged by subject. This Yahoo index is
searchable.

This Internet search engine provides point and click features for building a search.
- http://www.sciway.net
This is a great source for locating South Carolina related Web sites. SCIway stands
for South Carolina Information Highway. This site is arranged by subject.

This page contains Web sites useful for locating sources and experts. It is
maintained by St. Petersburg Times news researcher Kitty Bennett and lives on the Web site
for the News Division of the Special Libraries Association.

This is a good site for finding sources or experts. You can search the experts
database or submit a query looking for a particular expert. It is best to use the
submitting feature at least a day in advance of your need to speak to an expert.

This is searchable lawyer directory maintained by Martindale-Hubbell. You can search
by name, law school, location, practice and by type (corporate, government or faculty).
Telephone Directories

This is a telephone directory. You can search for business or residential phone numbers by
name or address. For businesses, you can search by category. You can also do reverse
lookup by phone number or address. This directory requires you to enter a state as part of
your search by name.

This is a telephone directory. You can search for business or residential phone
numbers by name or address. It has a reverse lookup by phone number. For businesses
you can search by category. This directory does not require you to enter a state as part
of your search by name.
