My (Old) Personal Computer Setup
(Or: "Mine Mine Mine!")
It was called "CROW" after Crow T. Robot from Mystery
Science Theatre 3000. (Techincally, that was just the C: hard drive
label.)
I eventually built my own new system, using parts from "Crow"
and new components. You can read all about the process in my detailed report,
Riffer Builds A New Machine.
The Hardware
- Motherboard:
- CPU: Intel 486-SX/25 (overclocked
to 33 Mhz)
- BIOS: Phoenix A486 V1.01.E (4/19/90)
- RAM: 12 megs total - 4 MB onboard, one 8MB 72pin 70ns SIMM (non-parity)
- Internal Drives:
- External Drives: Techinally, this isn't in use right now. I might put
it back in though.
- Display:
- Video: HeadLand Technologies Video 7 (512K VRAM, 32-bit BUS)
- Monitor: Packard Bell 14"
MultiSynch
- Sound:
- Analog: Internal on-board beeper
- Digital: Original SoundBlaster
(Mono, 8-bit)
