The Red Cross Gators began in the Spring of 1998 when a group of student Red Cross volunteers decided to join forces to represent the Alachua County Chapter and the University of Florida in a brand new service organization.  There are no qualifications, dues, or requirements to be a member…just a desire to help the community!!  Membership is open to all UF students, faculty, and their spouses.
-Who we are:  The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.  Nearly 1.2 million paid and volunteer staff serve in some 2,700 chapters and blood centers throughout the United States.
