The Red Cross Gators are officially known as the "Young Friends of the American Red Cross."  Young Friends is affiliated with the Red Cross and there are other chapters in the US.  Here in Gainesville, we are a new organization- opening our door to members in the fall of '98 for the first time.  We hope to assist the
Alachua County Chapter of the Red Cross in its humanitarian goals.  Some of us will accomplish this by teaching CPR or working in shelters during
disasters.  Many of us will help by fundraising.  But no matter how we are involved, we will all open our hearts through volunteering.  And of course, we'll have fun along the way!  So watch for us in the fall and remember that Help Can't Wait...
