About The University City Pipe
Band . . .
- The University City Pipe Band was incorporated as a
non-profit
organization with the Secretary of State in March of 1996. Since its
incorporation, the Band has performed throughout the Southeastern United
States and won 1st place prizes at all contests it has competed in 1996.

- The University City Pipe Band proudly wears the Anciant Angus
tartan (the tartan backdrop of this page!) and is endorsed by The University Athletic Association (hence, we can use the Gator (r) Logo)
- The Band is dedicated to professional performance and instruction
of Pipe Band music. Through both community service and competition, the
Band strives to maitain high musical standards.
- Membership in the University City Pipe Band is open to all
interested musicians showing a sincere effort to perpetuate great Scottish
music. All members are volunteers, and many are college students
attending The University of Florida or
Santa Fe Community
College.
- The Band rehearses Sunday afternoons at The
Presbyterian and Disciples of
Christ Student Center located at 1402 West University Avenue,
