I hope you all
had a great time at the BUC TUOCS campout. Also, the Blue and Gold Banquet
was fantastic this year. Thank you to all whom helped out at these events.
Pack Meeting-
Our March Pack Meeting will be held on
Tuesday, March 21 at 7 PM in the Talbot Cafeteria.
2005 District
Pinewood Derby- The District Pinewood
Derby will be held on Saturday, March 18.
The first and second place winners from each rank, with the exception of the
Webelos 2, advance to the District PWD. The location for the
District Derby is at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Registration is from 8:00-8:45 AM. Racing will begin promptly
at 9:00AM. There is an open race for scouts that
did not race in the Pack race or did not place 1st or 2nd. Racing will take
place in the following order Open Race, Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos.
The top three winners in each grade level from the district race will
advance to the North Florida Council PWD, to be held at Scout Blast in
Jacksonville in April. Second Year Webelos DO NOT participate in the
District Derby.
Gator's
Dockside Breakfast Fundraiser- The date for our
Gator's Dockside Breakfast Fundraiser is April 29th. Information
and tickets will be available at the March Pack Meeting. Last year
this fundraiser brought in over $1,500. The Webelos 1 scout will
participate as servers. Parents will be asked to volunteer as cooks, and
assisting the Webelos 1 servers.
Scout Blast
Coupons- Our Scout Blast coupons are here. This
year the coupon books includes coupons to
McDonalds, Schlotzsky's, Hardees,
Blockbuster, Gator's Dockside, Jiffy Lube among others.
The coupon books sell for $2 each with the pack receiving
50 cents of each sale and the remainder going to assist special
needs scouts in their scouting experience. More information on
coupon sales will be available at the March Pack meeting.
Committee/Leaders meeting-
Our March leaders/committee meeting
will be held on Sunday, March 12 at 5:30 in room 225 at Trinity
United Methodist Church. This meeting is open to all
parents. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend. This is where we
make decisions regarding pack meetings, campouts, service projects and
special events. Please join us, as everyone's input is
appreciated and needed.
Scouting for Food- The pick up date for
scouting for food is Saturday, March 11. Please contact
your leader to see what time you will pick up in your dens' assigned
neighborhood. The dens should meet at Talbot between 11:00 AM and
11:20 AM to put together their collections. They will then be
transported to the District Drop off Point. Please contact Elliot Douglas
with any questions. Last year our pack collected over 2,100 pounds of food
for the needy, what will it be this year?
