He married Agnes Rylands Wilson Jan 24, 1949. (Agnes Rylands Wilson #62.) Agnes was born in Pendleton, Oregon April 2, 1925. She is the daughter of Stanley Earl Wilson and Doris Maude Rylands.

Ollie Earl Mathews had the following children:
