Members in attendance – Carl Dill, EdCarey, James Law, Jeff D'Amelio, Jeff Pole, Larry Mayhew, Mario Coppock, PaulGery, Richard Sullivan, Robert Leahy, Ted Bedford, Terri Adams, Terry Lee,& Wade Clayton.

Members not in attendance – Al Summers& David Jones

 

Call to Order - 5:04PM

 

Previous minutes -Read and approved

 

Treasurer's Report– Two thirds of football schools have paid, Tavares HS has paid bookingfee, MFOA doubled the donation to Bud Holt and it has been received,

 

Other Reports -

 

Registrationupdate – discussed list presented. Motion by Mario Coppock to haveofficials not registered with MFOA will be removed from muster through requestto FHSAA, second by Ted Bedford. Motion passed.

 

Old Business -

 

Webpage update – Corey Callaway will email link update and continue towork on web page.

         Brawl/GameControl Policy – Motion by Bob Leahy to accept policy as written. Secondby Wade Clayton. Motion passed. Policy will be sent to principals with coverletter signed by Al Summers, lightening policy will also be sent.

FootballEvaluations – report by Carl Dill. Arbiter is being used for thispurpose. Forms will be sent by email with links to MFOA and Arbiter. Carl hasa few volunteers in the North end.

FootballAll Day Clinic – Coaches forum was a success. Facility worked outwell. Discussion held on moving clinic to an earlier date. Research thepossibility of spring clinic dates, what is the state deadline and process ofholding an all day clinic in 2010.

 

        

 

 

New Business -

 

         BasketballAll Day Clinic & Meeting Dates – info is on web page and has beenupdated. Minus All Day Clinic info which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31,2009 with location TBA

         Tavaresgame / D. VanAuker – Dick VanAuker was unable to attend. Discussionwas held on this event. Motion by Bob Leahy to pay crew game fee only withmoney received from Tavares for booking fee with a second by Mario Coppock. Motion amended to included complete game fee with difference made up from MFOAmonies with a second by Terry Lee. Motion passed with 6 in favor and 5against.

 

Other – Carlwill go through Arbiter and clean up site contact list. Type up what isexpected from schools in regards to officials. When finalized will send toWade for broadcast.

 

Suspended officials will bemarked on the Arbiter as inactive. Larry Mayhew will provide names to WadeClayton.

 

December MFOA Board meetingwill be held in Gainesville on the 12th. Carl Dill will report onlocation at the October meeting.
