SUBJECT: Annual Business Meeting 

 

The annual business meeting of the Mid-Florida Officials Association will be held on Saturday. May 3, 2008. The meeting will be held at North Marion High School and will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Coffee and Donuts will be served.

 

There are many items of importance on the agenda, to include election of officers, consideration of proposed constitutional changes, 2008 banquet update and others. These are items which affect every member. You are encouraged to attend.

 

If any member has proposed changes to the constitution/policies and procedures they should forward those recommendations to the Secretary so that they can be properly advertised as specified in the MFOA constitution. These proposed changes must be received by the Secretary at least 30 days prior to the business meeting.

 

If any member has recommendations for nominations for officers they should contact the Nominating Committee Chairman, Dan Cannon. All offices are two year terms unless noted. The following offices are scheduled for election:

 

Vice President: (Incumbent Al Summers)   Treasurer: (Incumbent Jeffrey Pole)

Football Directors

  North: (Incumbent Carlton Dill)      Central 2 year term (Incumbent Ted Bedford)

 

Basketball Directors

  Central: (Incumbent Terry Lee)

 

 Baseball Director: (Incumbent Paul Gery)

The annual Installation and Awards Banquet has been scheduled for Saturday, June 14, 2008. Terri Adams will serve as Hostess for this year’s event. An update as to time, location, etc., will be given at the business meeting.
