He settled in Newton Township, Sussex Co., NJ. On May 14, 1774 he and his wife moved into Virginia and purchased 100 acres of land in the Robinson River area of Culpper County, Virginia (Now maddison County). About 1794, George and his two soons, Peter and Christian and his son-in-law, George Swindle and other Swindle family members moved to the Abbeville district of South Carolina. Family legend says he died and was buried on the way to South Carolina from Virgina. In South Carolina, the family consistently because Rasor while the family name in Virginia became Racer.
