MENTORING SERVICES / ART INSTRUCTION
"Creativity" is the most unique of all human activities. We see everywhere the products of human ingenuity and enterprise; but the underlying creative processes from which they arise are unique to every person and defy predictability or measure. It could be said this is a quality (e.g. thinking outside the box) which sets us apart from our fellow creatures. And yet it is also the most misunderstood, under-funded and maligned of human resources, hardly confined to the decorative Arts or the entertainment industries.
In my private and confidential mentoring I work with persons of all ages and backgrounds, including professionals, children, and persons with physiological "disabilities", to identify and overcome their (real or imaginary) blocks to creative Self-expression. I challenge the cultural preconception of the plastic arts as confined to, or implicitly owned by, any select strata of society, while focusing on the relationships and ultimate relativity of "artistic" medium as a vehicle. Further, these lead to skills which are always applicable in larger contexts.
Visual Artist 45 Years

Gestalt Trained 30 Years
Group trainer, Published co-author and educator
Gestalt therapy is one of the few remaining non-invasive, non-forensic, self-paced, and gentle forms of psychotherapy. In layman's terms, if you go to see a doctor, your symptoms are compared to a medical model, s/he makes a diagnosis, and prescribes what will make you "well" again. The Gestalt approach contains no cookie-cutter models, focusing instead on individual responsibility (the things we can and can't control), the attitudes, thoughts, and actions which delimit and limit self-fulfillment, and which are in themselves innately creative, personal and seminal.
