Joanna Pritchard's Home Page
I am the director of Gainesville
Community Ministry, a small non-profit which supplies emergency assistance
to the needy of Alachua County and surrounding areas of North Central Florida.
I am also a Masters student in the Department
of Anthropology at the University of
Florida, currently writing up my thesis. I did my fieldwork in the
summer of 1994 in the Dominican Republic, on the migration strategies of
Haitian sugarcane workers. My previous degree (1990) was in economics at
the University of Glasgow, in Scotland.
Donald Robertson is my second cousin, who lives on the Isle of Skye
in Scotland and attends Sleat Primary School. He has a set of Web
Pages in Scottish Gaelic and in English,
and he publishes his own magazine.
