The Florida National Organization for Women will hold its annual conference in Gainesville this year, January 20-22, coinciding with the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision. The main topic is "Reproductive Rights--Are They History?" The conference will be held at the Paramount Plaza hotel.

Gainesville Area NOW will be hosting a workshop with the FL NOW Young Feminist Task Force to discuss what works in building a strong feminist movement. Gainesville Area NOW has been a leader in the struggle to get the Morning-After Pill over-the-counter. The workshop "will discuss some of the successes and lessons of that campaign, which can be used by veterans of the movement, as well as women new to feminism, and illustrate the use of consciousness-raising, speak-outs and other radical feminist tools."
