Florida feminists demand ERA

Florida Governor Jeb Bush said the Equal Rights Amendment was retro, like bellbottoms, apparently unaware that the ERA was first introduced in 1923 and that bellbottoms are back in. Florida feminists responded on April 28, saying that equality is always in style, and pushing the Florida Legislature to pass the ERA. Florida is one of three states needed to ratify the Amendment, which was passed by the U.S. Congress in 1972.
