The purpose of a local independent media center is to spread the word of local events and goings on as well as to let each other know of national news that is not being accurately reported on by the mainstream corporate media.

For a look at a national IndyMedia site, check out www.indymedia.org. This site is very much what we are looking to build our local site towards (also... we will not be keeping logs of visits or access)
