Colombia lectures
October 1999

The Center for Latin American Studies at UF is presenting a two part noon time series Thursday and Friday October 21 and 22. It will be hosted by Dr. Julian Arturo, UF PhD and associate professor at the National University of Colombia. The lectures/brown bag lunches will be held in the Dauer Hall, room 219. They will start at noon both days. Thursday's lecture is entitled "Anthropological Fieldwork on Violence and Drugs in Bogota; Experience and Conclusions."

Friday's lecture is entitled "From Hierarchy to Convivencia: the Cultural Policy of Professor Antanas Mockus as Mayor in Bogota." Both talks are free and open to the public. For more information call 392-0375.
