Blue Moon Tears

All my friends told me to
Just wait it out.
It'll hurt for a little while
And then it will disappear.
Just disappear.

Someday soon there'll be someone else,
But I know on those nights
When it's warm and quiet
I'll remember.

So I'll sit down and hurt again,
And I'll try to forget and forgive.
And so life will continue on without me
As I sit down and cry once again.

I'll try to forget the pain
And only remember the joy.
But I'll only spend the night

But on the nights when the moon shines full
The scars pull me back to the past.

That's when I see that I still have me.

Leaving behind my blue moon tears.
