Inc. (HGI) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement
of historic preservation in the city of Gainesville, Florida, and surrounding
Alachua County.

Fair.
Other projects include the designation of awards for
preservation projects and the preparation of a tour guide brochure of Gainesville's
historic districts. As a result of efforts by preservationists, three residential
historic districts have been created within the City of Gainesville.

A regular membership in HGI is $30 per year, or only $15 per year for students. Corporate memberships are $100 per year.
