Historic Gainesville Inc. (HGI) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of historic preservation in the city of Gainesville, Florida, and surrounding Alachua County.

HGI sponsors community-oriented events throughout the year, including the annual Spring Pilgrimage and Preservation Fair.
Other projects include the designation of awards for preservation projects and the preparation of a tour guide brochure of Gainesville's historic districts. As a result of efforts by preservationists, three residential historic districts have been created within the City of Gainesville.

A regular membership in HGI is $30 per year, or only $15 per year for students.  Corporate memberships are $100 per year.
