A Shakespeare Summer!

ANOTHER SHAKESPEARE SUMMER!

SS&K ("Shakespeare, Summer, and Kids")

This year's performances will be the following:

Macbeth, The Tempest, and The Comedy of Errors.

Under the general direction of Professor Sidney Homan, actor-director and Shakespearean scholar at the University of Florida, students in middle and high school are invited to learn about Shakespeare and the theatre in the most immediate, exciting way possible--by "doing it." Students will join one of three acting companies, who will stage three different plays.

In cooperation with and sponsored by the City of Gainesville Department of Cultural Affairs, over the past four years, GACA students have performed Twelfth Night, Much Ado about Nothing, The Merry Wives of Windsor, A Comedy of Errors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Hamlet, and Shakespeare: The Great Moments.
