Youth Helping Youth: Key
Club of [Your High School]
Works Miracles for Florida’s At-Risk Youth
[Your town, FL] -- The Key
Club of [Your High School] has established a new partnership which will benefit
thousands of Florida’s youth. Last week, the Key Club of Your High School held a
fundraiser to benefit Florida’s 1.800.RUNAWAY Hotline. This hotline, the
nation’s only statewide hotline for runaway youth, is maintained and staffed by the
Florida Network of Youth and Family Services (FNYFS).
This innovative partnership between
Florida’s Key Clubs and the Florida Network was established in 1996 to increase
awareness of Network programs and the youth served by Network shelters. During the first
two years of the partnership, Florida’s 11,000+ Key Club members raised over $15,000
for maintenance of the 1.800.RUNAWAY Hotline, distributed information to middle and high
schools, and were selected by the Florida Network of Youth and Family Services as its 1997
Volunteer of the Year.
With "Youth Helping
Youth" as its motto, Key Club members from ]Your High School] will
participate in other projects to benefit _______ shelter, our local Florida Network
agency. [Your Key Club] will be recognized for its contributions to this new partnership
at the District Convention, to be held in Orlando, in April 1999.
