The Florida Council of periOperative Registered
Nurses is the organization of perioperative nurses dedicated to
enhancing the professionalism and improving the performance of perioperative
nurses to better serve the needs of society, and to provide a forum for
interaction and exchange among perioperative nurses, our nursing colleagues,
other healthcare providers, and our industry representatives.
Goals
Establish communication among Florida AORN Chapters, eg: discussion at meetings, exchange of chapter newsletters and other correspondence, networking, and chapter visits.
Communicate with AORN national and regional representatives regarding pertinent national and state legislative issues, education needs and chapter issues thereby enhancing the organization.
Coordinate and share information or educational offerings to avoid the duplication, and overlapping, of dates and topics.
Monitor and disseminate information regarding state, and local issues that impact upon perioperative nursing.
Encourage open communication between officers and members through all levels of AORN.
Provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, as well as,
the introduction new products, between our members and our industry partners,
thereby ensuring the quality of care we provide our patients.
