Staley's is an antiques and collectibles retailer that opened in 1997, and specializes in art, old Florida souvenirs, musical instruments, and of course, corkscrews.
We are located in the Chitty-Thrasher House, which is listed on the National Historic Register.
On this page you can read about the antiques we are most interested in, as well as our neighborhood in
Micanopy, Florida.

We have a number of Florida landscape paintings for sale, some by members of the group of African-American painters from Fort Pierce who have recently become referred to as the Highwaymen.
We currently have paintings by James Gibson, Sam Newton, Johnny Daniels, Willie Daniels, Al Black, and Alfred Hair, as well as examples by W.J. Harris, E.G. Barnehill, and Alyne Harris.
Antiques
Our antiques selection focuses on small decorative items such as old Florida souvenirs, bottles, baskets, corkscrews, musical instruments, and glassware.

Micanopy is an old Florida Town, as Florida Towns go. It was originally a Timucuan Indian village known as Cuscawilla. The town has about 650 inhabitants and is located in north central Florida south of Gainesville, within easy reach of Interstate 75. In 1821 Wanton's Trading Post was established here, so for awhile the town was known as "Wanton." The name Micanopy comes from Chief Micanopy, who was leader of the Seminole people in the early 1800's.
You can learn more about Micanopy at the
Micanopy Historical Society, which is a fine small museum in the old Thrasher Warehouse, just down the street from us on Cholokka Boulevard.
