Subject: Creek Restoration/Storm Drain Stenciling Talk, April 25, 1996 at Main Library

Content-Length: 793

Don Moores, Water Resources Manager for Pinellas County Department of Environmental Management, will give a presentation on Pinellas County's storm drain stenciling/public awareness campaign at the Main Library on East University at noon on April 25, 1996. Locally, the Creek Restoration Initiatives Committee (CRIC) is planning a storm drain stenciling program that will rely heavily on volunteers to label storm drains in the Gainesville urban area. The purpose of this effort is to increase public awareness about the connection between storm drains, urban runoff, creeks, and the Floridan aquifer. For further information, contact Sandra Allen, Alachua County Environmental Protection Dept at 955-2442.
