Bishop Benoway has declared the first-ever Campus Ministry Sunday in the Florida Bahamas Synod. The Synod Campus Ministry Committee [SCMC] welcomes this opportunity to partner with the people throughout the synod in making Christ known on our college campuses. How can you help?

Enclosed you will find a script for someone to use in sharing our story. If you do not have a student in your congregation any member can use the script to tell the story. Also enclosed are masters of the bulletin insert and two brochures. We ask that your offerings be sent directly to Evangelizing More Boldly [EMB] for distribution. [1826 W University Ave, Gainesville FL 32603] We will channel your resources to the campus ministries that most need your support. You may however choose to indicate which designated campus ministry site you would like to see receive your contribution. EMB will make that happen!

EMB has faithfully served the Florida-Bahamas Synod for the last five years in raising up the Peer Ministry model on our campuses. In a bold ecumenical evangelistic outreach among young adults in higher education our Peer Ministers build Christian communities. EMB provides training and scholarships for Peer Ministers, seed funding for new campus communities, and maintains a statewide electronic network for campuses.

Our Peer Ministers are our missionaries to the mission field of campuses throughout Florida! While at our state universities and colleges, students have been part of a campus community led and nurtured by students trained as Peer Ministers. FBS congregations support these missionaries. We thank you for your support. The current synodical allotment of $20,000 needs to increase dramatically in order to support nine campus communities and then spread beyond!
