The German American Society of Gainesville, Florida, was founded in March 1995 to promote good fellowship (Gemuetlichkeit) and to provide social gatherings and events based on German customs and traditions.

Our members are German-born and their spouses are of German heritage who have lived in Germany, or are interested in the German language, culture and traditions. Many individual friendships have been formed. New members and their guests are always welcome.
