Intro Note from Laura First of all, forget this stuff about "morning" sickness. I think it is more common than not for it not to be confined to morning. My guess as to the reason it is called this is that any time your stomach is empty, the nausea is likely to be worse. What works for one may not work for another, but I think you will see common threads in what helps people. Whatever else you can or can't keep down, really try to stay hydrated. If you don't get enough fluid, it can trigger off a vicious cycle of vomiting and dehydration for which there is no cure but an IV. Obviously, this is only for the fairly bad cases, but if you are not able even to keep sips of water down, you definately should call your OB right away. Last, if anyone thinks you're a wimp, or "not really sick, just pregnant", ask them how they would like to have the flu for a few weeks or months in a row. This usually shuts them up. Good luck, congratulations, and you have my deep sympathies! Laura Dolson
