Louis Schilling

I am an architect, in private practice for 20 years. My hobbies, when I have some spare time, are woodcarving and writing. I am married to Julie Schilling, who was the Administrative Assistant for the Cuong Nhu Oriental Martial Arts Association (CNOMAA) for many years. We have two children, Kristin and James. I also have a daughter, Serena and a son, Louis (Norman)II.
When I started Cuong Nhu with my son James in the spring of 1986, neither of us had any previous experience in martial arts. In the years following, my entire family was involved at various times with Julie almost making green belt, Kristin attaining brown belt and James green belt. Julie was later honored with promotion to Shodan (first degree black belt) for her work with CNOMAA. I am currently teaching two children's classes at "The Center."

I was honored by the association by being selected as Supporter of the Year for the years of 1988 and 1989 and was given an award for Spirit and Dedication in 1994.
