Padayatra Week (June 2-8)
is a walking kirtan festival.
Groups chanting Krsna's names will honor Srila Prabhupada by visiting
all the neighborhoods around their local cities and temples. Temples
will organize this event to be held for the entire week just prior to
World Holy Name Day. Everyone is welcome to join the party for an hour,
a day or the whole week.
World Holy Name Day (June 9)
is one of the Centennial
special events. Srila Prabhupada is the acharya who brought the Holy
Name of Krsna to the Western World. Everyone can take the opportunity to
celebrate the Centennial by chanting the Holy Name together. Temples are
planning large Hari Nama parties, 24 hour kirtans, and inter-faith
events according to their capacity.

Maha Vyasa Puja Day (September 6)
The anniversary of
Srila Prabhupada's appearance. Celebrations in every temple will include
the most unique opportunity for everyone to participate in bathing the
murti of Srila Prabhupada with waters of 1008 holy rivers and lakes from
all parts of India. Special celebrations in Calcutta.

Feed the World Day (November 23)
is an incredibly special
event. Just picture hundreds of thousands of people receiving prasadam(food
sanctified by the mercy of Krsna) around the world in honor of Srila
Prabhupada. Temples will be delivering prasadam to dignitaries, Food for
Life programs for the needy and homeless, and people everywhere. Massive
prasadam distribution programs to be held in cities like Durban(South
Africa) and Calcutta. It is easy to join in without leaving your home
town. Just invite friends over for a big feast of prasadam or take some
cookies to your neighbors. Remember everyone should have the opportunity
to taste prasadam at least once in their lifetime! Distributing of prasadam.
